Xenzia Training 1.0 is live!

A few months ago I picked up my old DS and started doing a Brain Training session every morning. Just to kick off the day with a dopamine hit from a small win.

But being an old game, it has its limitations. It's not accessible to many people, you're forced to write numbers with a stylus or something similar — you need specific hardware to even play it.

Xenzia Training is the result: a web app built around the Calculation 20 exercise (20 operations in as little time as possible), designed to be simple, fast and distraction-free. Compared to classic brain training it also has a keypad mode, much more comfortable on modern devices — but I kept the stylus-style input for the purists (a deep-dive article on the recognition model might come out of this too).

You can try it at xenziatraining.xenzia.net, or find it in the SideQuest section of this site. Open, train, climb the monthly leaderboard.

It's v1, so there are still a few things I have in mind. But it works, and it's online.
